In ‘The End of Time’, the physicist Julian Barbour describes a universe, where instants of time exist, without having to suppose that they belong to something that is flowing. Based on the long-term memory stored within the brain and geological records one can get information about a past event, but it cannot be used as proof that the event existed. This talk builds upon spiritual knowledge to suggest that the world exists as a film and we are watching each moment as a slide. Who are the observers? Does this film start in a “Golden Age”?
